Alexis Rice is the Director of Marketing and Communications for the Center for Open Science (COS). Rice leads communications, marketing, branding, and digital engagement efforts for the organization. Rice brings three decades of experience in marketing, strategic communications, public affairs,branding, development, community relations, and digital engagement for mission-driven national and international organizations.
Before joining the COS, Rice served as Chief Communications Officer for The Children's Guild Alliance and co-founded K12 Strategies, a boutique education strategic consulting firm that provided organizations with strategic communications and development expertise.
She has been widely quoted in national media including The New York Times, Associated Press, The Washington Post, and NBC’s “Meet the Press” and has appeared on CNN and NPR and has been cited in more than 25 books.
Rice received a MA in communication in contemporary society from The Johns Hopkins University and a BA in political communication from The George Washington University.
