Terry Foor has served as Director of Development with the Center for Open Science (COS) since June 2022. Terry is a Certified Fund Raising Executive with a decade of experience in development and program management roles in the nonprofit sector. He specializes in Annual Fund giving and corporate philanthropy and has additional experience with major donors, grant funding, and event fundraising. Terry holds degrees in political science and sociology from Western Michigan University and the University of Oklahoma. He is especially interested in the intersection of open science and open source software, as well as how scientists face different challenges to adopting open science strategies and techniques based on their particular disciplines and communities of research practice.
Terry lives in Austin, Texas with his wife and two cats. He is an active community volunteer and Rotarian.
